Hurricane Alex
The first hurricane in the 2010 Atlantic season has formed in the Gulf of Mexico. Due to the location of the storm in the gulf, no ships will have issues with ports. Carnival’s vessels sailing in/out of Galveston and New Orleans may have a bumpy ride though.
Texas is starting to feel the effects of the storm. I woke up this morning in Houston and it was a dark and cloudy day with rain expected soon.

With all the latest technology that cruise ships have i think that customers can rest assured that their cruise will be safe. they can detect where storm is brewing and therefore will be able to avoid it easily, which might mean that some ports will get missed but that is the risk you take when cruising the Caribbean during hurricane season.

Exactly! Safety will NEVER be compromised. HQ also keeps a close on on storms as well and assists the vessels in redeployments due to hurricanes. So lots of brain power working on these problems.
