11:03 pmSo this was a horrible documentary with zero fact checking and captains leveraging their position of authority as so called experts. However, this documentary does make a very excellent point: Why did it take so long to actually evacuate the vessel when IMO regulations state vessels must be evacuated in 30 minutes. Well that wraps it up from here. Thank you for following.
11:01 pm“This is a Friday the thirteenth I will never forget” -Survivor Excellent line to end the documentary on…..I’ll be back with some closing thoughts.
11:00 pm“Had she sunk in deeper waters there would have been hundreds or thousands of dead” This Week in Obvious
10:58 pmWrapping up the show now
10:56 pm“He knows hes never done a lifeboat drill with any of these passengers” …..Simply not true…why does this RAdm keep harping on this…
10:55 pmThe CGI underwater showing the actual rock strike is very well done
10:50 pmYeah Discovery Channel. I’m really sure you’re getting an “exclusive” investigation here. Yellow Journalism anyone.
10:49 pmWOAH Never saw that photo before. Showing people climbing down the ladder taken by a pax onboard. Really shows the difficulty they encounterd climbing out of the ship, then down the ladder.
10:47 pmand now the infamous Coast Guard audio telling the captain to get back on the ship.
10:47 pm“People were gonna die before they got up the ladder” “It was pandemonium”
10:44 pmGripping video from the rescue helicopter as they are searching via infrared and finally find it.
10:43 pmThe video and pictures really show just how many people were still on the ship as the lifeboats all left
10:39 pmFascinating picture of when the vessels freeboard (promenade deck) is at the water and the lifeboats can just sail up and collect them off the promenade
10:36 pmTheres some amazing first person footage from onboard as people walk on a 30degree slant…just incredible.
10:35 pmyah im really sure these mass maritime captains are “trying to find new details.” What a joke…
10:28 pmUmmm hey Mass Maritime “Master Mariner” Cruise Ship lifeboats dont require pax to strap in…..totally different type of boats where dealing with
10:27 pmWhat the hell kind of qualification is “Master Mariner”
10:25 pmNOOO RAdm… The lifeboat drill was only pushed back for the people that just boarded in Rome.
10:17 pmI wonder if the ship actually listed that much right after the collision. I’m not sure.
10:13 pm4th time they said Titanic
10:13 pmExcellent job of including the actual bridge footage. Good Job!
10:09 pm“16 kts. That’s fast for a ship that size” (Capt. Mass Maritime)….You sir, just lost all credibility. Ships can get up to 21kts. What the hell are you talking about
10:07 pmOn a side note, I’ve been in that exact simulator at Mass Maritime.
10:05 pmInteresting choice by using Cal Maritime as so called experts.
10:04 pm“Cruising is popular because its like being in the movies”……..WTF
10:02 pmOHH Nice computer model. Actually pretty accurate.
10:00 pmNot even a minute in and already heard the word Titanic.
09:47 pmCan’t believe I’m actually watching Bering Sea Gold while trying to kill time before the show comes on.
09:35 pmCheck Back at 10pm ET/9pm CT
