Here’s some raw footage from a Russian news source showing the early parts of the fire. Notice the passengers still onboard and how quickly turing the vessel so that the the smoke blows away. Pretty scary stuff.
Almost echoing the recent incident with the Costa Deliziosa in Norway, P&O’s Oriana docked in Southampton and revealed her little scrape. The dent occurred as the ship hit the quarryside in Kristiansand, Norway. She still is seaworthy and any impact to future cruises remains minimal.

Friday: The Deutschland was the ship that caught Fire on Sunday while in Norway. No one was seriously injured, but it prompted the evacuation of the vessel. Tuesday Update As I reported yesterday, the MS Deutschland was towed from Eidfjorden to Bergen Norway for inspection of the damage. The analysis warrants the cancellation of her cruise that was supposed to leave today and sail Hamburg-Hamburg for a 7-Night cruise. UPDATE MONDAY: Just a quick update on the situation. The passengers spent last night at a local hotel having been unable to continue on their voyage.
