A few updates on some of the tall ships currently under construction.
Germany-based Sea Cloud Cruises will launch their newest tall ship in mid-2020. She’ll start sailing throughout the Mediterranean for the summer then sail to the Americas in November 2020. Her inaugural winter season will then take place in the Caribbean out of Philipsburg, St. Maarten.
Star Clippers have had the new five-masted Flying Clipper under construction for quite a while now. There are still no published itineraries which is a clear indication that they really don’t have a firm timeline for the completion of the vessel. She’s being build in Croatia at Brodosplit and the yard has stated that they ran into difficulties with her classification society.
