Our next adventure awaits. Or should I say ‘Voyage’…
I’m beyond excited that my next upcoming adventure is aboard the Scarlet Lady, which will be my first time cruising on Virgin Voyages. This is a highly anticipated journey here and promises to be filled with new experiences, luxury, and plenty of opportunities to relax, explore, and indulge. Departing from Miami, we’ll be sailing to some amazing destinations: Costa Maya in Mexico, Roatan Island in Honduras, and Bimini in the Bahamas, before heading back to Miami. Whether you’re a seasoned cruiser or a Virgin first-timer like me, this trip promises to certainly be memorable.
I’ve already had the chance to tour the Scarlet Lady a while back, and let me tell you — the ship looks like no other (well except for her 3 identical sisters). But now that I’m actually about to set sail, I’ll be updating the tour to share all of my firsthand experiences, from the innovative dining options to the exciting entertainment onboard.
What I’m Most Looking Forward To
One of the things I’m most excited about is the dining experience. Scarlet Lady features a range of unique and inclusive eateries that break away from the typical cruise dining scene. I’m looking forward to exploring restaurants like The Wake, a stylish steakhouse with views of the sea, Razzle Dazzle, vibrant, plant-forward cuisine, and The Test Kitchen, an experimental space offering avant-garde dishes. The best part? There’s no extra charge for dining, which means I can indulge without worrying about my folio. The variety of cuisines, from sophisticated to fun, and the all-inclusive model, really set Virgin Voyages apart from the rest.
Another feature I’m excited to experience is the entertainment. Virgin Voyages has created a whole new vibe when it comes to onboard activities. I’m curious just how club-like and immersive they will be. It’s been described as “interactive shows that don’t just entertain—they involve you in the experience”. Whether it’s a high-energy performance in the Theater or something more intimate like a DJ set by the pool, the entertainment promises to be engaging and full of surprises. And yes, I’ve heard that the ship has a real “club vibe” with trendy spaces like The Manor, where the party goes into the night. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what it’s all about.
This cruise also marks my first time on a Project Mille vessel, which is the new style of ships conceived by shipbuilders Fincantieri. The Scarlet Lady is a true reflection of the company’s vision of creating a cruise experience that is modern, stylish, and refreshingly different. All the while incorporating the latest in safety, stability, and passenger experience enhancements. It’s clear that Virgin Voyages has prioritized guest experience at every level, and I’m excited to see how that translates into my own journey.
The Itinerary: Costa Maya, Roatan, and Bimini
Of course, the destinations are just as important as the ship itself. Costa Maya in Mexico is known for its beautiful beaches, rich culture, and incredible snorkeling and diving opportunities. Roatan Island, off the coast of Honduras, is famous for its lush jungles and coral reefs, making it a perfect spot for adventure and relaxation. Finally, I’ll be visiting Bimini in the Bahamas, which promises a luxurious resort experience right on the crystal-clear waters of this tropical paradise. Each port of call offers a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, so I’m looking forward to exploring and making some lasting memories.
Wrap-Up
All in all, to say I’m looking forward to my cruise on the Scarlet Lady is an understatement. From the innovative restaurants to the immersive entertainment, to the stunning design of the ship itself, I’m confident that this will be a cruise experience like no other. I can’t wait to share more with you as I set sail, and stay tuned for my upcoming updates as I explore everything this amazing vessel has to offer!
You can follow along at all the usual places, Twitter, Instagram, and as mentioned, the ship tour will get a refresh.
Until then, happy travels!
