Royal Caribbean and the Island of St. Kitts announced that they will commence a series of trail runs to see if Allure of the Seas can call on the port. The first call at the Port Zante Cruise Ship Pier will be Dec 30, 2011. Royal Caribbean is starting to diversify their Eastern Caribbean offering, but I wonder what will happen with their Western. Industry executives have been reluctant to send many of their large ships to Grand Cayman due to the island refusing to build a pier. I wonder if they could learn a thing or two from St. Kitts.
