German club line AIDA has christened their newest ship in Germany. Like any AIDA christening it was quite the spectacle with all the fireworks and laser light show.
The Godmother was Bettina Zwickler who was the winner of an online reality contest.
A rough translation courtesy of MaritimeMatters: “You beautiful ship-Wherever are your travels, you run your sunny smile, people will make you happy Kiel. I baptize you in the name AIDAsol and I wish you, your guests and your crew, a safe journey and always enough water beneath.”
