Seabourn has announced that they have sold their three older vessels. The Seabourn Pride, Seabourn Spirit and Seabourn Legend will all be headed to once-sister brand Windstar. The new ships will add motorized vessels to Winstar’s fleet of “sailing” vessels.
The three original sisters of Seabourn were built between 1988 and 1990 so they were getting up there in terms of age.
Seabourn will now be down to the Seabourn Odyssey, Seabourn Sojourn, and Seabourn Quest, all built in the last 5 years.
However, it doesn’t stop there. Seabourn may have been compelled to sell these vessels to make room for a new vessel. Within the press release, Seabourn has stated they intend to built a 4 ship, sister to the Odyssey class. CIN has also added that they are talking to shipyards and expect an order to be place this year.
