When Royal Caribbean decided last year to sail the Oasis on a very short Mediterranean season in 2014, it was largely speculated that this was a trial run to see if the European market could handle a ship the size of Oasis. It appears the bookings were a success. Royal Caribbean announced this morning that from May to October 2015, the Allure of the Seas will be home ported out of Barcelona. She will sail 7-night itineraries with stops in Palma de Mallorca, Marseilles, La Spezia, and Civitavecchia.
According to Stuart Leven, managing director Royal Caribbean International UK and Ireland:
Allure of the Seas will change the face of selling Mediterranean cruises, especially for a family audience.
