Some people are blowing this out of proportion, but this is just a smart strategic move. Seatrade is reporting that Carnival Corp. will be bringing back their former President and CEO of subsidiary Carnival Cruise Line, Bob Dickinson. He was with Carnival from 1972-2007 when he retired. Mr. Dickinson was always a genius at the sales and marketing side. Even penning the book Selling the Sea. It is believed that he is being brought back for that purpose. Perhaps to reinforce and make stronger the Carnival brand.
Interesting note, Micky Arison once tried to fire Bob Dickinson. But Mr. Dickinson fought back and kept his job. Boy did he fight back and show Mr. Arison he almost made a huge blunder.
