In what can pretty much be described as the re-launch of Louis Cruises, which itself was a relauch of sorts of Royal Olympic Cruises; Celestyal Cruises announced that the 840-passenger Celestyal Odyssey will be joining their fleet.
The Odyssey is the former Olympic Explorer of Royal Olympic Cruises, and she currently sails for the Semester at Sea program which will stop operating the ship in April. After a drydock, she will join Celestyal in June.
FunFact:Along with her sister, Olympic Voyager, were rated as the fastest crusie ship when launched. They normally aren’t operated at such speeds anymore due to fuel costs.
The Odyssey’s fleetmates currently include:
Celestyal Crystal (ex-Leeward, Silja Opera, Cristal)
Celestyal Olympia (ex-Song of America, Thomson Destiny, Louis Olympia)
Thomson Spirit (ex-Nieuw Amsterdam, Patriot)
Louis Aura (ex-Starward, Bolero, Orient Queen)
