Costa Cruises have just taken over their newest ship the 132500gt Costa Diadema. Based on the Carnival Dream, the ship will be christened on Nov. 7 in Genoa. The ship will depart the shipyard in Marghera on Oct. 30 and will arrive in Trieste on the 31st. Then her first cruise sets sail form there on Nov. 1.
On Nov. 7, the city of Genoa, headquarters of Costa Cruises, will host the Christening event of Costa Diadema. On Nov. 8 she begins her scheduled Mediterranean cruises out of her new homeport.
