Disney Cruise Line acquired the partially completed Global Dream vessel on November 16, 2022, after its previous owner declared bankruptcy. Renamed Disney Adventure in September 2023, the 208,000-gross-ton ship will home port in Singapore for at least five years starting in 2025. Construction is being completed by Meyer Werft in Wismar, Germany, with reimagined features by Disney Imagineers, including innovative Disney experiences, signature entertainment, and iconic design elements. Designed to accommodate approximately 6,000 passengers and 2,300 crew, it will be one of the first cruise ships powered by green methanol, reducing emissions. Originally intended for up to 9,500 passengers, the ship measures 342 meters long with a beam of 46.4 meters. The project supports local employment and maritime suppliers while continuing Disney Cruise Line’s tradition of excellence.
