UPDATE TUESDAY:
From Royal CEO Michael Bayley:
[ON ANTHEM OF THE SEAS]The Classic Dining option will be part of Dynamic Dining. So when you go onto Dynamic Dining one of your choices will be Classic, click it and choose early or late and you’ll be in Classic. We will be launching in March….We are preparing Oasis and Allure of Dynamic Dining.
UPDATE FRIDAY:
Here’s a video of Royal Caribbean’s CEO Michael Bayley announcing that the Anthem will have a rotational dining option called “Classic”.
It’s being speculated that Royal will be dropping Dynamic dining on the Anthem of the Seas. And that it will be dropped on the Quantum as well.
I know where this rumor is coming from, but I’d rather wait on something more official. It’s two different posts on CruiseCritic so interpret it as you will.
Last month Royal announced that they would be delaying the rollout of Dynamic Dining on the Oasis. That was the first red flag. It seems Royal’s Loyal’s aren’t too pleased with it on Quantum, the only ship it’s currently on. As such, it received quite negative reviews and it going through some growing pains in its introduction.
On Quantum, they would institute rotational dining like Disney does.
So if true Royal’s options will include:
- Traditional Dining (Same time, same seating, and same wait staff)
- My Time Dining (Any time, any table, any waitstaff. Usually the upper lever.)
- Dynamic Dining (Any time, any restaurant, any table, any wait staff)
- Rotational Dining (Same time, different restaurant, same table arrangement, same wait staff)
There’s nothing official from the line yet, and I’ll post more as soon as I know. Updated Friday 2/16
