Fincantieri has officially delivered Carnival Cruise Lines newest flagship the Carnival Horizon. The 133,500gt ship is their 26th in the fleet.
The vessel is currently enroute to Barcelona, Spain where she will depart on her inaugural voyage on April 2. It will be a 13-night Mediterranean sailing. After 4 sailings in Europe, she will sail on a transatlantic and arrive in New York on May 23, 2018. She will then be christened there in an overnight gala by the ship’s godmother Queen Latifah.
After a summer season based in New York she will then finally reposition to her homeport of Miami on Sept. 22, 2018.
