Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany just laid the first block of hull number S.711, more commonly refered to as the Genting Dream, into the covered drydock at the yard. She will sail for the newly formed Dream Cruises in Asia.
Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, Chairman of Genting and Bernard Meyer, C.E.O of the Meyer Group placed the ceremonial coins on the bottom of the drydock before the first piece of the hull was placed on top of them.
The vessel, based on sister brand NCL’s Escape, will measure 151,300gt. She will be delivered next fall.
