[UPDATE]Igor Closes Bermuda

The threat of Hurricane Igor has forced officials in Bermuda to close the Islands ports.

So far:

  • MSC will skip Bermuda and sail to my home state of Massachusetts. The MSC Poesia skip Hamilton on the 18th and steam into Boston, MA at 9 a.m. and depart September 20th at 7 a.m for her normal NYC arrival.
  • Royal Caribbean’s Enchantment of the Seas will sail to the Bahamas instead of Kings Warf.
  • NCL’s Norwegian Spirit and Holland America’s Veendam will call in Bermuda shortly, but the respective lines have yet to announce the changes.
  • UPDATE SATURDAY MORNING: NCL announced that the Norwegian Spirit out of  Boston will sail to Nassau and Port Canaveral instead of Bermuda. Figure 2-days at sea both ways and the ports on Monday and Tuesday.
