MSC just announced they have agreed to build 4 ships as part of a new 200,000gt ‘next-generation prototype’. Called ‘World Class’, they will carry 5,600pax each. They will also take advantage of LNG propulsion, a new entrant into the cruise industry. Deliveries are scheduled to take place from 2022 to 2026. The ships will cost around usd$1 Billion each.
UPDATE: Just found out the vessel’s LOA will be 335m (1,099ft) and her beam will be 47m (154ft)
