Norwegian Cruise Line has just taken delivery of their newest flagship, Norwegian Bliss. The 168,028gt ship was just completed at Germany’s Meyer Werft yard in Papenburg, Germany. The ship took 18 months to build.
She’ll now head to Southampton, England for her inaugural transatlantic journey on April 21. She’ll arrive in New York on May 3rd and stay there overnight, opened to invited guests. After that she repositions to Miami and should arrive on Sunday May 6. She’ll also have another ‘open house’ there and then sets sail on a 15-night Panama Canal cruise, featuring the new locks, from Miami to Los Angeles on May 10. After that NCL is holding the christening ceremony and first sailing from her homeport of Seattle, Washington on May 30.
