A new cruise line has started up in China. Named Elite Cruises, they are entering into the luxury domestic Chinese market. Technically registered in Singapore, they have secured around half a billion Yuan. This will include purchasing a ship second hand to start voyages from Qingdao. Immediate plans are to buy two more ships after that. In due time they are expected to place an order with one of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation’s yards.
