The first was that construction has finally begun. Representatives from NCL and Meyer Werft pushed the button to start the cutting of the first piece of steel. This will be the lines sixteenth ship. She’ll be delivered in Spring of 2018.

This is the third Breakaway-plus vessel and will join her sisters, Norwegian Escape and Norwegian Joy.

The next announcement was that they invieled the hull art that will adorn the ship. NCL normally will partner with a popular artist to design the artwork. For the Bliss they chose marine life artists, Wyland. It will be called “Cruising with the Whales.” If you look closely you can see Humpback whales, along with rays, dolphins and sea turtles.
