Lelepa is off the coast of Vanuatu which is a chain of islands, 1076 miles ENE of Australia. Royal Caribbean, along with the Vanuatu government, will develop the island into a private cruise destination. The project is still in it’s infancy as no date, ships, or any other information has been released.
Royal emphasized that it will be different than their other ‘Perfect Day’ branded destination Cococay. “Our designers and nature have created the ideal South Pacific experience and we expect the results will be stunning.”
So whereas Cococay is more amusement/waterpark, I imagine this to be more typical south pacific: thatch huts, hammocks and lots and lots of beach area.
