Virgin Voyages has slowly been releasing details on their ship and itineraries. When she debuts next year, the ship will sail 4 and 5-night Caribbean voyages. Initially they have mentioned 7-night itineraries so I anticipate a mix of itinerary options.
What’s known about the shorter cruises is that there will be Cuban, Western, and Eastern routes.
- 4&5-night “Havana After Dark” itineraries which feature an overnight stay in Havana, Cuba.
- 5-night “Mayan Sol“ itineraries to Costa Maya, Mexico
- 5-night “Dominican Daze” itineraries to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. Puerto Plata is 5 miles ESE of Carnival Corp.’s Amber Cove.
The Scarlet Lady will depart Miami at 7:00pm. This is due to them sourcing a lot of pax from Europe. MSC does the same thing.
Another detail that was released was what the standard cabins will look like. They will feature a day-bed which is combination bed and sofa. European ferries and cruise ships way back in the day would do this, but Virgin will be making a chaise sofa out of it.
