Earlier today the SS United States made her long awaited (and sad) departure from pier 80 in Philadelphia.
After an assortment of McAllister Tugs guided her out of her berth, she was attached to her ocean going tug the VINIK NO.6. of Vinik Marine for the long tow down to Mobile, Alabama.
