I was way off in my prediction of what she will look like.

Thomson Cruises have announced their plans for refurbishing the Thomson Discovery (ex-Splendour of the Seas). Looks like she will be based in the Caribbean for her inaugural season with Thomson. Her first itineraries are 7 day southern Caribbean trips round trip out of Barbados.
Cruising is as much about the ship as it is the destinations, which is why we’re excited about Thomson Discovery, our biggest vessel yet. Not only is there a fantastic range of entertainment and activities to keep you busy, there’s a rock-climbing wall, an outdoor movie screen, a mini-golf course and no less than 8 places to eat, including a la carte restaurants and a coffee shop. We’ve even given the ship a swish new makeover. Here’s what it looks like now…
Thomson Discovery already boasts a range of a la carte and buffet dining options and we’ve just added to the selection. The brand new Gallery 47° is a stylish Italian diner where you can tuck in to your favourite Mediterranean cuisine without even having to book a table. Or, if you’re after a light bite, we’ve now opened the Snack Shack for all your ‘grab and go’ snacks. Inspired by festival food stands, this is where you can pick up hot dogs and nachos with melted cheese.
