At the very front of the deck is the Bridge. Aft of that are officers staterooms. On this part of the deck there’s a small outside passageway that runs to the bridge. You walk along the lifeboat and liferaft area and right up to the bridge which you can see into. I had know for a while this section was off limits, so let’s just keep this a secret….
Back inside there is another deck of the atrium, and past that you are at the main pool area. This area is pretty vast. Immediately on either side as you enter is the Red Frog Rum Bar on starboard.
And the Blue Iguana tequila bar on port.
There’s then the main pool.
There’s a raised entertainment platform that people were playing games on.
Off to the side of that is a small stairwell in a glass enclosure. This goes down to the middle of the promenade a deck below. This is extremely convenient for going between the two popular and great people-watching areas.
Just past that is a large sun area.
Past that is the Blue Iguana cantina on port.
On the starboard is the ever popular Guys Burger Joint. It should be noted that in this version of the popular burger place, they give you a standard cheese burger, then you go over to the toppings bar and that’s where you can make it whatever you want.
I could have gone crazy and made a bacon, mushroom burger, but I behaved and just when with the classic lettuce, tomato and onion.
Past that, back indoors, is the entrance to the Seaview Bar & Grill. This is the ships lido buffet.
At the aft of the indoors section is a deli and pizza bar.
There’s also a small outdoor eating area that was pretty quiet. Well until it started monsooning out.
At the front of deck 11, Veranda, is the famous secret deck that is directly atop the bridge.
This is accessible via the secret passage or a lone, hard-to-find door back inside.
Aft of that are several veranda cabins as well as a hand-full of inside rooms.
Walking through those, you are at the atrium. At the side of the atrium is the entrance to the kids area, Camp Ocean.
Walking through that, the rest of the deck is outdoors. There is the sundeck that encircles the pool area. Surrounding the pool are the ping pong tables and outdoor chess board.
Walking past that is the base of the funnel. Surrounding that are some shuffleboard courts.
Past that, at the very back part of the deck, is the giant Carnival Waterworks.
Deck 12, Sports, is split into two sections. In the fore area is the spa, fitness center and salon.
Past that is the top deck of the atrium.
Now towards the back part of the atrium are actually two secret, hidden suites. You can’t book these and have to be invited by Carnival. Back in the day, these are the suites that celebrities stayed in during promo cruises.
The aft section is a sundeck that surrounds the funnel and mini-golf.
Deck 14, Sun, is the highest deck and only is in the front. It’s also only accessible by the stairs. Through the front there’s an outdoor deck, past the windows.
There’s a soft, padded jogging track that encircles the deck.
The main part of the deck houses the mini golf course.
Towards the back part is the glass dome over the atrium.
