U.S. Marshals have arrested the 2,354gt ship the Yorktown. The tiny Inter-coastal Waterway ship is currently operated by Explorer Maritime Cruises LLC whom Germany’s KfW IPEX-Bank states that its owed almost $10 million. Explorer Maritime then contracts out to New York luxury travel co Travel Dymanics to manage the vessel.
The bank has stated that they have no intention of holding onto the ship and will place her on auction soon, should no suitable buyer be found. Seems they want the money fast.
Lloyds Intelligence has her detained as of April 1st, which would explain why she’s not currently operating in New England.
