The ex-NCL vessel has been floating around the Greek Isles in a semi-laid-up state. Recently she called at Port Said, Egypt and oddly enough she made the transit through the Suez canal and is about to enter the Indian Ocean.
She last carried passengers in 2008 and has been phased out of NCL’s current fleet for not being new enough or large enough. She may be joining her sister SuperStar Aquarius (ex-Norwegian Wind) in Hong Kong, or she may even be headed to the breakers [though not sure about that one though].
NCL has had a a hard time getting buyers at the $218 million price tag. She was originally going to be sold alongside the Norwegian Majesty to Louis, but when Louis sent the surveyors to inspect her they balked at the deal stating the quality of the machinery was terrible. NCL was rumored to have been offered $190 million but they would not drop the ship below the $200 million mark.
